Are you planning to start your own website and you are unable to decide what to do? Well, you’re at the right place. In this post,  I will tell you that how can you start your own website at a minimal cost. Many website owners like bloggers or YouTubers buy high-end costly domains and web hosts in the starting itself by assuming that they are definitely going to get enough amount of visitors or subscribers to their website and YouTube channel. Well, that’s definitely not the case. Do you know that only 40% of the bloggers out there get more than 5000 views per month? The rest 60% who are out there are maybe wasting a lot of money on costly web hosts and domains. So to minimize the cost, here’s what you should do.

Step 1: (Buying a good domain name)

When it comes to a website, the domain name is one of the most important thing out there. Your name should be unique and must have some connection with the genre of your website. It must be catchy and should be able to attract a lot of users. I myself bought a .xyz domain when I started as it’s cheap and it’s currently trending. You can get a  .xyz domain for less than a dollar for the first year and later it will cost you around 5$ per year. You can get a .xyz domain too at or

But however, .com is always the most preferred one among .net, .org or .xyz. So I’d suggest that if you have some money in your pocket then you can always go for a .com domain

Step 2: (Buying a cheap website host)

When it comes to blogging or creating websites, the most important part is played by the web host you buy. As they decide the speed which you’re going to get on your website. Buying a good web host is just like buying a car, you have to take a look at every single thing, for instance, is the GSuite enabled or not? or Are they providing you normal HDD based hosting or are they giving you cloud or SSD based hosting, where are the servers located and the most important part, how much storage are they giving you for that certain amount of price?

Now you’re new to this business and you don’t have enough visitors so you don’t need a high-end website yet, So try looking for a cheap or free web host for now. I myself started on a free web host that is Infinity Free.

What is Infinity Free?:

Infinity free is one best free hosting website out there. They provide you with unlimited storage with a lot of cool features that any other free website host might not give you. So it’s one of the best website hosts to start with.

I myself kept my website on infinity free for a very long time. After a certain limit, the free services were not able to handle the load of my website so I had to move to a different web host. But for a starter, it’s the best out there.

Now suppose you got some visitors and you want to upgrade to a better web host and you’re not sure that these visitors are going to stay for long or not, so now you’re thinking that should you buy a 3-year-old  website plan altogether because it’s cheap? or you think you should pay monthly. I’d suggest you should go for the monthly one, but many websites out there cost too much for with the monthly plan and it’s half the price with the yearly one. I know this, I have been in this dilemma once too so I started searching for some cheap web hosts on google and luckily I found some. If your website isn’t heavy enough and you think that a normal HDD or SSD based hosting can easily take up the load then I think you should go for Ono hosting.

Ono hosting is a cheap web host with good features such as unlimited storage, bandwidth and much more at such a low price. It costs you less than half a dollar per month for the HDD based plan. and around Half a dollar for the SSD based plan.

Or else,

you can also go for spidyhost. It’s also a cheap web host which is cloud-based and gives you unlimited features for just 1.44$ or 99 Rupees per month.

This one is my personal favourite because it has all the things I needed at a very low cost. It has GSuite enabled and allows you to create an unlimited amount of sub-domains or EMail Addresses.

Step 3:(Making a Facebook and other Social Media based pages)

Getting social is one of the most important parts of creating a website. You can always promote your website via Social Media and it does give you a lot of visitors. Make sure the posts you create must have a catchy headline so that people are attracted towards it. You can invite your Facebook friends to join your website’s page and you can also promote it on Twitter and Instagram.

Step 4:(Choosing the right AD network)

There are many AD networks out there but it’s up to you to choose the right one. Different AD network pays on a different basis such as Rate Per Mile, Cost Per Mile, Pay Per Click etc.

The best AD networks out there are:

Google Adsense

Propeller Ads

Ezoic ADs (Partnered up with Google Adsense)

Infolinks Ads

Chitika Ads

So this brings me to the end of my post. It doesn’t matter how long your website’s been up for, what really matters is the content. So post your best out there and let the social media work for you.

  1. Howdy! I know this is kinda off topic nevertheless I’d figured I’d ask.
Would you be interested in trading links or maybe guest authoring
a blog article or vice-versa? My website goes over
a lot of the same topics as yours and I believe we could greatly benefit from each
other. If you happen to be interested feel free to send me an e-mail.
I look forward to hearing from you! Fantastic blog by the way!
